Russia to allocate 19.5 bln rbl to subsidies for air fare refunds

MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will allocate 19.5 billion rubles to subsidies to the airlines for refunds of tickets for cancelled flights, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Thursday at a government meeting.

The decision should help the airlines keep their working capital, which they could use to ensure security of flights and maintain airworthiness of the aircraft.

The government will also allocate more than 1.5 billion rubles to partial compensation of airports’ costs in the southern and central regions of Russia that were closed temporarily, he said.
